Here’s where you can get a Tauros in Pokémon Sword & Shield’s Isle of Armor.

Tauros, the rampaging bull Pokémon. For a while, Tauros was our only indication that the world of Pokémon had cattle, but then Miltank and Bouffalant came along and sort of stole Tauros’ thunder. At least a little bit. Tauros is still a strong choice and fun to have following you around. Just don’t try to hop on its back.

Note that Galar-region Tauros are different from other regions. Whereas Alola region Tauros are domesticated and even enjoy having riders, Galar Tauros does not permit humans on their backs for any reason. But you can capture one and have it fight to the death for you. That’s Pokémon logic for you.

Anyway, let’s go catch ourselves a Tauros.

Where To Find Tauros

Got the Isle of Armor DLC from the Expansion Pass? Great! You can find Tauros in the Training Lowlands. It’s not too hard to find, so just keep an eye out for one and then go walk up to it.

If you don’t have Isle of Armor, then you’ll need to trade for one from someone who does or transfer Tauros from an older game using Pokémon HOME.

How To Evolve Tauros

Tauros doesn’t evolve. It’s a simple Pokémon that comes out of its egg as a fully-formed three-tailed bull thing. Again, that’s Pokémon logic for you.

What Tauros Can Do In Battle

If you can find a Tauros with its Hidden Ability, Sheer Force can make Tauros hit exceptionally hard. Zen Headbutt, Rock Slide, and Body Slam are all great moves to use in conjunction with Sheer Force to get the most out of your high Attack stat.

If you can’t find a Tauros with Sheer Force, find one with Intimidate and then get it to level 55 to learn Double Edge and Thrash. These moves are rarely resisted and can take out weaker Pokémon in a single strike.
