Heatmor is an anteater Pokémon introduced in Generation V. It’s the natural enemy of Durant, both because Durant is an ant and because Heatmor is a Fire-type that can melt Durant’s Steel-type. It can be a little on the rare side in Pokémon Sword & Shield, so we’ll show you where to find it.
Where To Find Heatmor In Sword & Shield
First off, you should know that Heatmor spawns more frequently in Shield. It’s still there in Sword, but you’ll probably have to spend more time searching.
The best place to look is Giant’s Mirror during intense sun. After that, try the Lake of Outrage. If for some reason you don’t want to go to the Wild Area, check Route 6’s tall grass for a random encounter.
What Heatmor Does In Battle
Heatmor has the unfortunate life of being a Fire-type in a world where Charizard, Scorbunny, and other more popular Pokémon exist. It doesn’t have much to set it apart from its more famous cousins. Still, if you want to use one, get one with the Flash Fire Ability. This makes it immune to Fire-type attacks and even raises its power when hit by one, making it a great Pokémon to switch in on an opposing Charizard.
For moves, give it a varied moveset with Fire Lash, Superpower, Knock Off, and Sucker Punch.
