It’s no secret that there is more to do in the world of Pokémon than just be a trainer. There are tons of jobs that you can take on if you aren’t too keen on traveling for the rest of your life. Many of these jobs work side by side with their favorite partners without having to worry about the pressure to evolve them or level them up.

It also seems like everyone in the universe is paid rather well no matter what their job is, as some fans like to note on forums. Below are some of the best careers you can have in the Pokémon world.

10 Groomer

Pokémon groomers get to work exclusively with all types of features and make them look beautiful. Groomers can help your Pokémon feel refreshed, and even like you better. As a bonus, you’d most likely get to interact with Pokémon from all over the world, depending on where you set up shop.

9 Hair Stylist

If you aren’t as keen on working on Pokémon, then you can opt to work with trainers instead. There are tons of hair salons sprinkled throughout the world, and the stylist all seem to be amazingly talented at finding just the right cut and coloring for each trainer.

Even more impressive, it seems like every cut the in-game stylist do always comes out perfect.

8 Fashion Designer

Someone has to design all the clothes we see sold in the clothing store. Being a designer in a world with endless inspiration seems pretty nice. Most trainers, especially in the newer regions, seem to be obsessed with fashion so there is sure to be somebody out there that is just dying to wear your latest piece.

You could even experiment with using things like Wooloo wool to make ultra-soft shirts.

7 Professor

Depending on how much you like research, you could become a professor. There are tons of types of professors out there, and you don’t have to feel pressured to be like Oak, who is internationally famous. All you need to do is research your favorite type of Pokémon and share your findings.

In addition, you would most likely get your own lab and travel around for free.

6 Dancer

Although they don’t get much attention in the game, there are dancers, as seen in Johto. Dancers work around the clock to perfect their dance moves and are even given special Pokémon to train with. They also get to use beautiful kimonos and are respected by their communities.

Getting a free Eeveelution also seems like a pretty sweet deal.

5 Wooloo Farmer

One of the newer jobs introduced in Sword & Shield is the Wooloo Farmer. Wooloo quickly became one of the most popular Pokémon ever due to its round fluffy appearance. Even with the giant Mareep plush being a thing, most trainers still like Wooloo more.

If you became a Wooloo Farmer, then you would be able to have all the Wooloos you wanted and see them every day.

4 Contest Host

While Pokémon Contests don’t seem to be in every region, the ones where they do appear seem like a lot of fun. Imagine being a contest host who gets to work with some of the prettiest Pokémon day in and day out. Contests are dazzling events and most likely pretty fun to be apart of.

It would be fun getting to know trainers and their partners as they work towards winning prizes.

3 Artist

Another fun career to go into would be art. As an Artist, you can travel around the world while stopping to paint whatever you desire. Artists even get Smeargles to accompany them, which can produce all the paint you need. Being an Artist is probably one of the most relaxing careers out there.

If you have always wanted to travel and you love to sit around drawing or painting for hours on end, then this would be perfect for you.

2 Archeologist

Some fans are more interested in the mysteries that surround the Pokémon world. There are tons of fossils and undiscovered Pokémon to dig up. If you do manage to find a complete fossil, then you can even get it revived and have a party full of prehistoric partners to help you learn about the past.

Fossils seem pretty common in some regions of the game, and being able to hunt them down would be fun.

1 Model

Models in the Pokémon world tend to work directly alongside their partners to create beautiful scenes. This is even seen in the short where Nessa goes modeling with water-types. Modeling is a fun and fulfilling career where you can take pictures and make memories with tons of creatures.

If you have ever wanted to take photos with your favorite partner, then this is the way to go.
