Galarian Slowbro was revealed to the world recently, but as for what Galarian Slowking might look like, that’s still up to the imagination of Pokémon’s fanbase.
The release of Pokémon Sword and Shield brought with it the introduction of some new Pokémon. Not just brand new Pokémon, but also Galarian forms of some trainers were already familiar with. As was the case with the Alolan region and its variations, the pre-existing Pokémon have adapted to their surroundings in Galar.
The variations include Weezing, Ponyta, and Meowth, among others. However, for Sword and Shield players, Slowpoke might be the most curious. The Psychic-type wasn’t introduced until after the games had already been released, and there was only one way to find it. By approaching someone at Wedgehurst Station who bestows the yellow-tinged Slowpoke on trainers as a gift.
Once the Isle of Armor DLC is released next week, trainers will be able to evolve their Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro. The evolved form’s yellow tinges turn purple, and the Shellder usually found on its tail is on its arm. A Redditor accurately predicted what the new version of Slowbro was going to look like, right down to the markings on its hands. Which has got us wondering, what will Galarian Slowking look like once it makes its Sword and Shield debut?
The same Redditor had a crack at that too, and we would not be disappointed if Galarian Slowking looks like their vision above. Since regional variations of Pokémon tend to undergo a type change, we’re wondering what that will mean for Galarian Slowking. The Galarica seeds Slowpoke has a taste for allow it to have moments of clarity. Perhaps when fully evolved, that additional brainpower will make Slowking much more cunning and diabolical than its Johto counterpart and turn it into a Dark-type.
As for when we will get a definitive answer as to what Galarian Slowking will look like and what it might be capable of, it seems as if that won’t happen until the arrival of Sword and Shield’s second DLC. It would certainly be in keeping with the pattern and is also named Crown Tundra. There’s no confirmed release date for the DLC just yet, just that it will be released before the end of 2020.
