Your D&D alignments tell a lot about your personality and the way you act. It can also tell you just what fire-type Pokémon you should be. In Dungeons and Dragons, there are 9 alignments to choose from spanning from chaotic evil to lawful good. Each tells more about you than just your personality, it explores your dreams and desires as well as how you go about achieving those.
When playing Pokémon, your alignment comes through as you choose the type and style of party to compete with. So if your preference is fire-type some may see that as particularly chaotic or evil, however, every fan knows that it just isn’t the case, there is a huge range of wonderful Pokémon that fit any D&D alignment.
9 Lawful Good: Torchic
Firstly, something that cute and small can’t be evil. As soon as Torchic comes up as an option to be your starter Pokémon it is impossible for people with the lawful good alignment to not fall in love instantly.
Throughout the games, Torchic never has an issue abiding by what it’s trainer wants and is undeniably a good Pokémon. Any player who has this in their party loves sticking with the norm and working with what is given to them, creating a powerful companion.
8 Neutral Good: Rapidash
Rapidash is technically a unicorn, so anything but good would just be wrong.
Any player who loves Rapidash is guaranteed to be good, nothing more nothing less, just like a unicorn. They are neither crazy nor strict, just simply lovely, just like Rapidash, unless it tries to race anything that it can, then you have no chance of getting it back.
7 Chaotic Good: Charmander
It would be a travesty if Charmander wasn’t listed under chaotic good, after all, this playful adorable starter is a favorite among fans.
If your alignment is chaotic good then Charmander is most definitely your Pokémon of choice. First of all, it is a dragon, if that doesn’t scream chaotic then nothing does. However, Charmander can hardly be labeled as evil or neutral since he is so adorable and how much he tries to be good, even if it doesn’t always work.
6 Lawful Neutral: Vulpix
As soon as Vulpix appears, its sweetness and kindness erupt. You cant look at her and think of anything but kindness.
Any lawful neutral alignment would fall in love with Vulpix purely for how innocent and caring she is, which matches perfectly with the player’s alignment. Both care for the law and everyone they can, being neither evil to people who wrong them, nor good to the people who don’t deserve it.
5 True Neutral: Numel
Numel is perhaps the most normal of the fire-types. Although it can pack a punch, Numel never really has any outstanding personality traits.
This isn’t to say that all true neutrals are boring. Rather they are neither good nor bad and tend to use their brains and cunning to achieve their goals. For Numel, he uses his powerful attacks to do damage, but never really does anything else. Just like true neutrals, Numel flies under the radar.
4 Chaotic Neutral: Coalossal
Nothing screams chaotic neutral like a goliath with a mound of hot coals on its head. Just like Numel, Coalossal is never particularly good or evil, however, his design is definitely chaotic.
Chaotic neutral has the stereotype that they just cause havoc for the sake of it, and with this fire-type, it does what it wants.
3 Neutral Evil: Heatran
Heatran is the perfect choice for neutral evil alignments, they love feeling in power and would definitely use a legendary Pokémon like Heatran for that.
For neutral evil alignments, they want a Pokémon that can pack a punch and intimidate their opponents, which is why the fire/Steel-type is a perfect choice.
2 Lawful Evil: Entei
There are a considerable amount of legendary Pokémon that fall under the evil alignment. Entei is one of them, though hardly the worst compared to ones like Mewtwo. Although as previously mentioned, this is more for the intimidation factor rather than actual personality.
Just like Entei,Lawful Evils are cunning and use everything they can to get what they want. Entei is cunning and powerful, whilst certainly looking evil and seems to plan and plot its way through the games, using his instructions and moves to dominate any battle.
1 Chaotic Evil: Charizard
In the anime, Charizard is undeniably chaotic. He never listens to commands and actively disobeys his trainer. There’s also the fact that he is quite literally a dragon, something that isn’t exactly known for their kindness.
Anyone with a chaotic evil alignment would love to choose a Pokémon like Charizard purely because of its reputation and how deadly it can be. It is undeniably a perfect choice for those looking for some chaos that can destroy anything in its path, just don’t tell it what to do.
