Ghost-type Pokémon are incredibly popular for having disturbing entries in the Pokedex. Even with all the infamy, many fans hold ghost-types as their favorite. If you play DnD, though, you have probably wondered about what ghost-types align with your roles. Are there any truly good ghost-types out there, or do they all fit into chaotic evil? To help you find the perfect ghost-type for your character, the list below takes a look at ten ghost-type Pokémon that fall into one of the nine DnD alignments. If you are curious about which Pokémon you would be carrying around with you, then keep reading below.

9 Lawful Good: Rotom

Rotom is probably the best ghost-type out there. Rotom in recent games is a huge help to trainers and habits, both pokedexes and computers in the pokémon centers. Most of these Rotoms just happily stay inside of these electronics and never want to come out to fight; they are happy just helping you.

Rotom is a lawful good alignment and probably the kindest ghost-type out there.

8 Lawful Neutral: Sableye

Sableye is a Pokémon that just wants to sit around in its cave eating crystal. It does get a reputation for its eyes looking menacing, but it never goes after trainers and doesn’t really mind that they are scared. Sableye, in general, is a good Pokémon that doesn’t mind creating a scare if he can eat in peace.

You will never find him trying to steal your children or trying to eat your soul.

7 Lawful Evil: Trevenant

Trevenant is the gardening of the forest and will protect the nature around him at all costs. If this means scaring off or killing those who attack the forest, then so be it. Trevenant will never go after those who are peacefully walking by, but the second damage is done to his domain, you will pay.

Trevenant seems to enjoy entrapping trainers; he just needs a reason to do so.

6 Neutral Good: Shuppet

Shuppet is a Pokémon that floats through towns in search of its next meal. Instead of feeding on people, this ghost-type eat emotions like Wallace. While many cities welcome the presence of this creature in order to help the people living there feel better, it isn’t trying to help.

Shuppet is a good Pokémon that really just wants to float by and eat its next meal.

5 True Neutral: Marshadow

Marshadow is neither good nor evil; it simply enjoys learning. If Marshadow finds what you are doing interesting, then it will slip into your shadow to copy your movements. This is how the Pokémon became a fighting type and how it learns to excel at everything it mimics.

Marshadow has no interest in you, just what you are doing. If you look like your having fun, then maybe Marshadow will decide he wants to do it too.

4 Neutral Evil: Litwick

Litwick can’t really help that he absorbs your life force, but he doesn’t mind doing it to keep himself alive either. This Pokémon isn’t picky about whose life-force he is draining; it can be his trainer, another creature, or a random stranger on the street. What is important is that he keeps his flame lit.

Litwick’s aren’t good or evil; they just float by doing what comes naturally to them. They are even known to absorb the energy of trainers they love.

3 Chaotic Good: Dragapult

Dragapults are pretty adorable in terms of ghost-types. This is a strange ghost-type that enters battle with its first form Dreepy as it’s ammo. Once a fight starts, it fires Dreepy out of its horns at an incredibly fast speed to scare off or harm its opponents.

While this seems like a cruel choice of ammunition, it turns out that Dreepy loves to be launched out. Dragapult and Dreepy are the perfect examples of chaotic good, due to this strange partnership.

2 Chaotic Neutral: Mimikyu

Mimikyu is a strange, cute, ghost-type; he generally won’t cause any harm to those around it. This Pokémon just wants to be loved as much as Pikachu and is happy to have a trainer who loves it. The one rule you have to remember though, is never to look under Mimikyus costume.

If you even accidentally glance while the wind is blowing, Mimikyu will kill you in order to keep it’s secret. Mimikyu doesn’t care who you are as long as you love it and don’t ever look under its disguise.

1 Chaotic Evil: Spiritomb

Spiritomb is a Pokémon created because of how evil the spirits that make it up are. Spiritomb had to be sealed when it randomly decided it wanted to reign destruction on the nearby towns. The ghost-type is now eternally bound to the stone that it floats on top of.

You should never trust or try to break the seal on this Pokémon. It loves killing and causing as much chaos as possible.
