There are tons of Pokémon out there in the world, each with their own unique features and personalities. In Pokémon, there’s a lot of similarities to the real world when it comes to this, and can even be compared to it. One of the ways to compare these is with the Zodiac.
Each Zodiac sign correlates to certain traits and personalities. Each sign is distinctive from the others just like how Pokémon are. In particular, Ground-type Pokémon can be compared to the Zodiac. Thanks to this, it’s possible to see the kind of Ground-type Pokémon you are based on your Zodiac sign.
12 Aries: Nidoqueen
Filled with confidence, both Aries and Nidoqueen are courageous and optimistic. While both look towards the future for the better, they can occasionally get emotional and let that get the better of them.
Both Aries and Nidoqueen can be impatient and can get aggressive when things continue to stall. Despite this, they’re passionate and will always see things through to the end, even if they can get frustrated if it drags on.
11 Taurus: Marowak
Taurus and Marowak are both reliable and responsible, taking time to make sure that make sure they’re always able to see things through. On the contrary, they can be stubborn, less willing to make compromises compared to others.
Marowak are both devoted to their beliefs and will continue to uphold said beliefs, using their bone weapon since they first lay their hand on it. A Taurus and Marowak will both make sure to not overdo anything, preferring to keep things practical.
10 Gemini: Numel
Gemini and Numel are both gentle and laid back. They are curious, interested in learning new things and enjoy discussing said things. Despite this, both Gemini and Numel are nervous, leading to indecisiveness that can slow them down.
However, they can quickly adapt to new surroundings, shown through Numel’s ability to stay sturdy in the immense heat. They’re still gentle, and won’t try and hurt those around them while they learn their new environments.
9 Cancer: Flygon
Cancer and Flygon share the trait of being persuasive and imaginative. Flygon shows this by using its environment through using its wings to cover it from threats by engulfing it in a sandstorm that circles around itself.
They can occasionally be insecure and suspicious, which is why Flygon will hide underneath the sand. Cancer, as well as Flygon, are still loyal towards those close to them, helping those who help them.
8 Leo: Wooper
Wooper is an always cheerful Pokémon, practically always having a smile on its face. This shares a Leo’s trait of being warm-hearted and happy.
Although they can also exhibit more lazy traits of which can lead to a more relaxed state of mind, just like Wooper’s easy-going attitude that Leos also posses. Both are humorous, always happy to put a smile on other’s faces though they can be inflexible at times.
7 Virgo: Claydol
Virgos have a tendency to be practical and hard-working. They are also analytical of their surroundings.
This transfers perfectly over into Claydol. It was created by ancient civilizations and gained sentience, with telekinetic powers. It floats around, perhaps being overcritical of those it encounters just like how Virgo’s can show similar traits. It is very serious, having an “all work and no play” attitude outlook when it comes to getting a job done.
6 Libra: Sandslash
Sandslash shares many traits with Libra. They’re cooperative, working together to dig through tunnels underground. At the same time, both prefer to avoid confrontation, with Sandslash curling up into a spiky ball when it feels threatened.
It can easily flee from danger, thanks to its digging claws and the ability to roll into a ball and use that to keep attacks at bay. They will sometimes hold a grudge to those who harm them.
5 Scorpio: Donphan
Scorpios are always resourceful and brave, using all they have to take advantage of any situation they end up in. At times they can be violent, sometimes using that as a strength.
These traits can be found in Donphan as well. It can channel its rage to use its body to give off devastatingly powerful tackles. Both Scorpio and Donphan are brave, not afraid of hurting themselves in order to get out of sticky situations.
4 Sagittarius: Rhydon
A Sagittarius tends to be rather generous and offers a sense of humor to lift the spirits of those around them. However, they can sometimes promise more than they can realistically do while doing so.
They can also be impatient, just like a Rhydon. Rhydon tends to use their horns digging so deep with it as fast as it can that it will even hit magma, from which its body is built to be protected.
3 Capricorn: Excadrill
Capricorns are often well-disciplined and have a fair bit of self-control. Excadrill exhibit similar traits, as they help humans with things like construction.
Both Capricorns and Excadrill are disciplined and are able to do tasks such as that. They can act a bit like a “know-it-all,” with Excadrill being seen as “The Drill King.” They take great pride in the tunnels they make, just as Capricorns are often prideful.
2 Aquarius: Mudsdale
An Aquarius tends to be independent, and Mudsdale is one of the most independent Ground-type Pokémon out there. It doesn’t need any help getting around no matter the weather condition, capable of completing a three-day expedition without ever stopping for rest.
Mudsdale can have a bit of a temper sometimes, charging around with reckless abandon. Both an Aquarius and a Mudsdale can be uncompromising, using all of their power and energy to make sure things get done and not looking to others for approval.
1 Pisces: Golurk
Pisces and Golurk share a fair bit of similarities. Despite their large and menacing appearance, Golurk are actually quite compassionate and gentle (just like Pisces) and cares more to protect rather than harm.
Pisces can be fearful, just like Golurk. If the seal on the Pokémon’s chest is broken it will go berzerk. They are trusting to those around them, sometimes too trusting, but they will try and protect anyone from harm.
