As any Pokémon fan knows, there is a huge variety of regions to explore and catch as many Pokémon as you can, but which one is the best one for you? Why not use your D&D alignment to find out?

One of the best things about Pokémon is its unique style of regions that are both familiar and unique at the same time. Whilst they are often based on Japan, France, America, and now the UK, they still remain entertaining and exciting to explore, especially with the addition of a new generation of Pokémon.

Nevertheless, each fan has its favorite region or game for multiple reasons. Perhaps it was the first one they played or the one where they caught every Pokémon in the game. However, that doesn’t mean its best suited to you, especially since its such a personal preference. So why not find out the best region for you based on your D&D alignment.

9 Lawful Good: Kanto

It would be wrong to not put one of the most popular and well-known regions as a good alignment, but that isn’t actually the reason that Kanto is best suited for lawful goods over any other alignment. First of all, it is an incredibly popular region that is based on the beautiful and very real Kantō region in Japan.

Not only is this a cool fact but it fits perfectly with the morals that a lawful good holds onto. Being lawful, they pride truth and law over anything else, so working in a region that is as close to the truth as possible works perfectly! Both are also extremely popular, with most choosing a lawful good alignment and most preferring Kanto.

8 Neutral Good: Unova

This massive region has some of the most unique geography of any of the mainline regions and has some interesting mythology and extremely exciting locations too. The Unova region is the first to be based in a location that isn’t made up or in Japan so it’s most definitely unique! Just like a neutral good.

Neutral goods love doing the right thing, either by following the law or by causing a little chaos, so they do end up searching for the next engaging and unique thing that can grab their attention. Now nothing will catch their attention more than the plethora of unique Pokémon that you can find in the Unova region. Ultimately, this region will keep you engaged and enjoying yourself every step of the way, whilst still keeping you in that good alignment.

7 Chaotic Good: Johto

Nothing says chaotic like the second most popular region in the Pokémon universe. It famously introduced the idea of post-Elite 4 content and has so many different things to explore, meaning that the chaotic part can certainly be entertained. With landmarks like the Lake of Rage and the Ruins of Alph, any chaotic good will never get bored with the number of things they can do.

Moreover, just like any good alignment, they prefer the truth to most other morals and, as it is with the Kanto region, Johto is based on the Kansai, Tokai, and eastern Shikoku areas of the country which is filled with beautiful temples and fantastic architecture. Just like Johto, Chaotic good is one of the most popular alignments to choose from.

6 Lawful Neutral: Kalos

Set in the north of France, Kalos is pretty different from any other region. This is because it was the first to be set in a European setting as well as having a rather strong history behind it too. One thing most lawful neutrals love is learning about new things and new ways to achieve their goals, now Kalos is by far one of the most interesting regions to explore. Especially with the many recognizable landmarks dotted around.

Not only is the region absolutely stunning but it will appeal to this alignments sense of adventure and lust for learning new things. As well as allowing them to catch never-before-seen Pokémon and inspiring them to explore even more.

5 True Neutral: Oblivia

True neutral often flies under the radar and is seen as a pretty unpopular alignment, just like the main region for Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs. However, this attitude is entirely wrong since true neutral can be one of the most exciting and varied alignments to play, and the Oblivia region is so unique and so much fun to play!

With the region being made up of seven islands, you’ll never get bored of where you are and you’ll never run out of interesting things to explore. Whilst it’s not that popular, true neutrals love being the underdogs and will easily be able to sway others into playing this game.

4 Chaotic Neutral: Hoenn

The Hoenn region has an extremely chaotic layout with it being pretty spread out. Whilst being spread out can be irritating, it has so many different environments and fits perfectly with any chaotic neutral alignment.

This is because most chaotic neutrals love achieving their goals in a variety of ways, whether it’s evil or good. For most chaotic neutrals, there is the main way they like to play games, but they also know that there are still loads of different choices for them. This is the same with Hoenn since there is one main island and loads of others around it.

3 Lawful Evil: Alola

It should be noted from the offset that just because this is listed under evil it doesn’t mean it’s a bad region. Alola is a beautiful area that is filled with loads of interesting lore and the second U.S-based area too.

Just like most lawful evils, they love adding new things to their roster so they can keep following their ideals. They enjoy variety and love using it to their advantage which is perfect for the region that has multiple islands that add something completely new to your gameplay. Just like lawful evils, Alola is unique, varied, and interesting to explore.

2 Neutral Evil: Sinnoh

Just like neutral evils, the Sinnoh region is extremely underappreciated. Many fans are still looking for a remake but most just kind of forget it ever happened. However, if your alignment is neutral evil, you will certainly have an unseen love for this region.

Sinnoh is the first region to feature snow which does, in the nicest way, highlights the coldheartedness of a neutral evil as they commit evil deeds just because they can. Nevertheless, any neutral evil will love being in the Sinnoh region.

1 Chaotic Evil: Galar

Galar is an extremely popular and newest region for people to explore. Just like chaotic evil, it is varied, unique, and everyone loves playing it.

Chaotic evil is an alignment that most adore playing, purely because they are reckless and destructive in whatever they do. So placing them in the equally as popular and mostly undiscovered Galar, just makes sense.
