Your MBTI® can tell you so much about yourself. It can also help you find the next Pokémon game to play by determining which region fits you perfectly!

To discover your MBTI® you must take a short personality test which will give out a 4 letter abbreviation. It’s more than your typical personality test, as it delves into your strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes, and even your relationships with friends and family. Being able to understand all of this can help you to make some difficult decisions, or in this instance, help you plan your next game.

When planning the next game to play it can often be a bit of a hit or miss, especially when a franchise like Pokémon has so many different games to play. As any fan knows, the region can make or break the game so it’s pretty important to find the right one for you!

16 INTJ: Sinnoh

Sinnoh is an extremely popular yet rather underrated region, with many fans begging for the remake it may never get. Nevertheless, it remains the biggest region in the Pokémon franchise which is perfect for INTJs.

INTJs are hardworking and extreme perfectionists, so having a region where they can push themselves to work hard and catch ’em all is ideal, especially in such a vast and unique environment.

15 INTP: Almia

This rather unknown region is a perfect match for any INTP and they will undoubtedly enjoy the many points of interest and wonderful places to explore.

As the setting for Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, this region is filled with interesting surprises and will suit the loyal and independent INTPs as they show how much of a fan they are by playing an under-the-radar title.

14 ENTJ: Kanto

ENTJs are extremely hardworking, they are natural leaders and love being the top dogs. So having a region that is easily the most well known and popular in the franchise just makes sense.

Kanto is the second largest region, so it will require the dedication and hard work that ENTJ’s love putting into the games they play. This is why it’s such a perfect choice.

13 ENTP: Oblivia

Oblivia is so rich in legend and lore that it is a fan favorite for those who want to learn all there is to know about Pokémon. One of the main traits that ENTPs have is a value for knowledge. They pride knowledge over power and constantly search for new things to learn.

This region has so many ruins to visit and is jam-packed with lore, which makes this pairing more than ideal.

12 INFJ: Pasio

INFJs are pretty unique, as they aren’t perfectionists, and they tend to be pretty easygoing. Pasio is equally as unique since there are no wild Pokémon inhabiting it.

Whilst many others may think of this as being boring since there isn’t too much of a challenge, INFJs will adore it. They will love the easygoing vibe around the game and will be able to be their reserved and creative selves.

11 INFP: Holon

This region is unlike any of the others since it isn’t one from the video games. Holon is a region from the wildly popular trading card game.

Among the main traits attached to being an INFP are a gift for communication and a preference to focus on smaller groups of people, or perhaps individuals, over large groups. This makes sitting down to a good card game, with a TCG match typically being between two people, a great call for their personality type.

10 ENFJ: Fiore

With 4 different cities to explore and uncover, an ENFJ will never get bored playing in the Fiore region. Especially since these 4 cities each represent the four seasons meaning that however you’re feeling, there’s a city in this region for you.

The multiple cities and different seasons work well with the ENFJ’s extroverted nature, with a lot to explore and plenty of chances to lead their team toward the satisfaction of victory.

9 ENFP: Galar

The newest region and the perfect choice for the ENFP personality. Galar is set in the UK and features a huge variety of recognizable locations, climates, and Pokémon.

Due to it being a new region there are still undiscovered places, lore, and new things to find, which is perfect for enthusiastic and adventurous ENFPs looking to satisfy their free-spirited nature.

8 ISTJ: Johto

Johto is one of the most well known and well-loved regions in Pokémon, and rightly so, as it’s filled with loads of places to explore and a melting pot of rich history and lore to discover on your hunt for powerful Pokémon.

Most ISTJ’s are extremely observant. They have an eye for detail and love seeking it out in the places they visit. Moreover, ISTJs love planning their next move, and in this varied and exciting region, that is entirely possible.

7 ISFJ: Unova

Being the first region to be based in a place that isn’t Japan, Unova was original and unique, something that ISFJs certainly share.

This beautiful and simplistic region will appeal to the more reliable and sensible personality types since they enjoy order and hate not having a plan.

6 ESTJ: Ransei

Ransei is a little-known region that serves as the setting for Pokémon Conquest, a strategy game that was a surprising crossover with the Nobunaga’s Ambition franchise.

This is perfect for an ESTJ who would love exploring the seventeen kingdoms that make up this region (that takes cues from Feudal Japan, as an interesting note) and is hardworking enough to conquer and unite said kingdoms, as they would be tasked with doing in the game.

5 ESFJ: Hoenn

Similar to the Sevii Islands, Hoenn has a load of things to find, explore, and catch which keeps an ESFJ entertained as they are renowned for being extremely energetic and rather needy.

This personality can’t stand not having anything to do, they always need meaning and an end goal, which is just perfect for the Hoenn region.

4 ISTP: Kalos

Kalos is a pretty unique region set in metropolitan France, and as a neat bit of trivia, is also the Greek word for ‘Beauty.’ ISTPs are rather sophisticated people, so they’ll fit the scenery of France perfectly.

However, it isn’t just the location that makes this pairing perfect, as it also appeals to the logical risk-takers that are ISTPs. With loads to explore, there will be plenty of opportunities to take those risks.

3 ISFP: Pokémon Island

Whilst not technically a region by proper standards, no one will appreciate this place more than this personality. This is because it is a pretty enjoyable location that can be revisited multiple times.

Pokémon Island is perfect for the reserved and practical types, just like an ISFP. And you certainly can’t get more practical than an island named after the franchise’s titular creatures.

2 ESTP: Orre

As the setting for Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, Orre is a pretty small region but will easily keep ESTP’s coming back for more.

Whilst it is a small region, playing Pokémon Colesseum will satisfy the more competitive and impulsive aspects of this personality type, making it the perfect region for them.

1 ESFP: Alola

This beautiful region just fits like a missing puzzle piece when placed with an ESFP. Set in Hawaii, Alola is just as beautiful as you would imagine, filled with impressive beaches and even more impressive Pokémon.

ESFP’s are optimistic and love being spontaneous, so having a region that has such a vibrant aesthetic and vacation vibes will feel just like home.
