Espeon is one of Eevee’s many possible evolutions. It is Psychic-type and was introduced in the second generation along with the Dark-type Eevee evolution, Umbreon. To evolve an Eevee into an Espeon, it had to have max happiness and level up in the daytime. If this happened at night, Eevee would turn into an Umbreon instead.

As all Pokémonfans already know, Eevee evolutions are fan favorites. Due to that, Espeon is used on a lot of trainer teams, put into a lot of Pokémon merchandise, and of course appears in a ton of fan art

Here are ten pieces of Espeon fan art. Be sure to check out the artist profiles linked, as they deserve credit for their talented work.

10 Resting At Night

The artist behind this piece, Kel-Del, does a lot of Pokémon fan art with a unique focus on atmosphere. The colors and textures bring out a calming atmosphere in a lot of the artwork.

This particular piece appears to be an Espeon resting on a porch. It gives off the feeling of summer with the fireflies. The Espeon is actually a little spooky, keeping watch with one glowing eye.

9 Battle

Since they came out in the same generation and are positioned as opposites of each other, a lot of Espeon fan art also include Umbreon. They have a light versus dark sort of symbology to them, and fan artists love that.

This piece was done by Dragibuz. According to them, Umbreon is their favorite Eevee evolution. A lot of detail was put into the facial expression, making this battle way more intense looking than the ones seen in the anime.

8 In Daylight

This piece is a part of a series of Eevee evolutions done by aokarimero from Kyoto, Japan. Both their original works as well as fan art have a whimsical, warm, and soft feeling to them.

While this Espeon may look simple at first, a closer look can show that the artist but some love into the Pokémon’s fur.

7 Smiling

Not all Pokémon fan art has to be cute. Some artists enjoy showing them in a more creepy, realistic, or psychedelic style. For example the artist of this Espeon, euqinimodart, has a smile that is reminiscent of the Chesire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.

The artist added eyes to the Espeon’s back, which can be symbolic of its psychic powers. It is the kind of style that would make for a cool tattoo.

6 Espeon And Umbreon Trainers

This is yet another piece that includes both Umbreon and Espeon. However, this fan art has opposing trainers to match. The artist also made Espeon and Umbreon look far more fox-like when it comes to their fur, snouts, and ears.

The artist of this piece is TamberElla. It is one of a number of Pokémonfan art they have done. In fact, these portraits are pieces of an Eevee evolution series.

5 Cat-Like

While some artists make Espeon more fox-like, there are others that make it more cat-like. This piece, done by kenket has Espeon stretched out like a cat happy on catnip.

The warm colors give the art a feeling of the morning sun, and many know that cats love sunlight. Since Espeon evolves in the day, it probably love the sunlight more than most.

4 Many Espeon

Every Espeon on this illustration is adorable. They look like chibi version, which plumper bodies and even bigger eyes.

The art was made by totennko, an artist that is a cuteness master. They’ve done fan art of other cute Pokémon like Snom, Sylveon, Hatterene, and Raichu, but they appear to love Swadloon most of all.

3 Among Blossoms

Espeon is not just loved for its Eevee connection, but fans love it for its pinkish-purple color. Many even prefer it to its shiny version, which is a sickly green color.

Due to Espeon’s color, it looks gorgeous among sakura tree blossoms. The artist, kaceymeg, had the right idea for a setting that brings out the beauty of Espeon’s design.

2 Espeon Drink

It is actually not uncommon for fan artists to draw Pokémon incorporated into food. In this case, it was Eevee evolutions and different kinds of drinks! The series was done by crylicakress and they cleverly made Espeon’s drink like a magic potion. Perfect for a Psychic-type!

As for the other Eevee evolutions, Leafeon looks like green tea, Umbreon seems to be some kind of lavender tea,  and Jolteon’s looks like a fruit cocktail.

1 Together

Of course, fan artists love to draw all the Eevee evolutions together. It is fun how they all look similar in their cat and fox-like bodies but also so different in elements and colors.

In this art, made by lushiesart, Espeon is standing at the top as if to watch over all of the others. Of the Eevee evolutions, it and Umbreon are certainly the most mysterious.
