Electric-types are those Pokémon that can kick Water and Flying types to the curb. However, they must be careful around Ground-types. It is also the type of the most famous and recognizable Pokémon: Pikachu.
Between their designs, move-set, lore, and abilities, Electric-types are a well-regarded type by players of the games and fans of the show.
Some fans even get tattoos of their favorite Electric-types, from the cute little ones to the more intimidating and large legendaries.
9 Flaaffy
Flaaffy are well-loved by fans for its pink color and fluffy traits. It is the middle evolution between Mareep and Ampharos. The evolution line was introduced in the second generation, making it a nostalgic Pokémon nowadays.
This tattoo, done by the talented Sav, is a very feminine and delicate piece. The Flaaffy even got some pink blossoms around it to match its hue and lean into its cuteness.
8 Zapdos
Anime and pop culture tattoo artist, Troy Slack, made this action-shot of Zapdos. It is far from his first Pokémon tattoo though. Others he has done include Bulbasaur, Totodile, Latios, Gyarados, Cubone, Mudkip, Charmander, Flareon, Sylveon, and Mimikyu.
Zapdos has become quite iconic since it is the symbol of Team Instinct for Pokémon Go. Before then though, it was already a well known Electric-type legendary.
7 Pancham And Dedenne
Some fans get more than one Pokémon in a single tattoo. That was the case here, as Pancham and Dedenne are looking like peas in a pod in this piece. The Electric-type here is Dedenne, which is often referred to as a Pikachu clone, as it is also an Electric rodent.
The artist of this piece is Simon Zook. Like Troy Slack, they also tattoo mostly pop culture icons like characters from The Legend of Zelda,Naruto, and of course, a lot of Pokémon!
6 Alolan Raichu
This Raichu, tattooed by melvin_arizmendi, is a region variant. It is still an Electric-type, but this particular kind is also Psychic-type. It rides its own tail like a surfboard, and was introduced in the Sun and Moon generation.
The artist is well known for their adorable style of tattoos, often including glitter, bubbles, and hearts to their art.
5 Pikachu
The famous Pikachu is a very popular tattoo for obvious reasons. It has become the icon of Pokémon itself. Out of all of them, it has the most merchandise, the most screen time in the show, and possibly is the most tattooed Pokémon as well.
This tattoo got a little creative and put Pikachu in a light-bulb. It was done by Brazil-based artist, rodferod.
Jolteon
One can never go wrong with an Eevee evolution. They are all well designed and take on the title of fan favorites. Jolteon has been there since generation one as well, so its also nostalgic. Eevee can evolve into it with a Thunder Stone.
The artist, Tony Nguyen, has also done tattoos of Pokémon like Slowpoke. However, most of their gallery consists of tattoos styled in realism are colorless.
4 Raichu
Done by Russell Van Schaick from Florida, this Raichu is not here to be cute. It is here to fight, fierce expression and all.
Raichu evolves from Pikachu with a Thunderstone, much like Jolteon with Eevee. With Pikachu from the show never evolving, it does not have the same popularity has Pikachu. However, plenty of fans still love its design and get Raichu tattoos like this one.
3 Luxray
If you like Electric-types and are a cat person, then you may love Luxray. This cat-inspired Pokémon is the final evolved form of Shinx after it evolves into a Luxio. It was introduced in the Diamond and Pearl generation.
The tattoo was done by lyaleister. Their other Pokémon tattoos include Jiggilypuff, Vulpix, Vaporeon, Espeon, Pidgy, Gyarados, Eevee, Sylveon, Leafeon, Umbreon, and Flareon.
2 Magnemite And Cubone
This tattoo was done by retired artist, The Nerdy Tattooer. It features two first generation Pokémon having a battle. However, if you know about type advantages then you already can see that this fight is pretty one-sided. Ground attacks are super-effective against Electric-types, and Cubone is a Ground-type and Magnemite is an Electric-type.
Magnemite is not very popular, but it is from the first generation. Cubone, on the other hand, is very popular for its tragic lore and is trending in the Pokémon tattoo world.
1 Two Pichu
Pichu are what are known as “baby Pokémon.” Other than Pichu, baby Pokémon consist of Cleffa, Iggilybuff, Togepi, Elekid, Smoochum, Bonsly, and many others. Pichus are the baby version of Pikachu, so Pikachu’s popularity and fame rubs off a little on them.
The artist behind this piece is cute tattooist extraordinaire: paisleypopart. They’ve done many Pokémon tattoos that include Mimikyu, Jiggilypuff, Leafeon, Mew, Rowlet, Scorbunny, Vulpix, Ampharos, and many others.
