The shiny form of legendaries are often underwhelming, but Eternatus has a very cool shiny form because it is a beautiful purple/magenta color instead of its regular red color scheme.
Purple is a color that works well with Eternatus’s appearance because it has a shiny body that looks almost like a skeleton. Obtaining a shiny Eternatus is a challenging task; however, it may be worth it for a trainer that enjoys the way its shiny form looks.
6 Eternatus Has The Highest Base Stat In The Pokemon Franchise
Eternatus is an incredibly strong Pokemon, and this is not only because of its intimidating appearance but also because it has the highest base stat of any Pokemon in the franchise.

Eternatus can create holes in spacetime, which is an ability that very few Pokemon are capable of. This ability isn’t usually performed on purpose, but instead, the massive power that it gains when it transforms into its Eternamax form can cause holes in spacetime to appear.
Even though Eternatus doesn’t mean to cause problems with spacetime, its presence alone can wreak havoc on the Pokemon world and its inhabitants.
3 Eternatus Is The Only Pokemon That Has An 100 Percent Catch Rate With Any Pokeball
No other Pokemon in the franchise to date has had a 100 percent catch rate with any Pokeball until Eternatus was introduced in Pokemon Sword & Shield. Catching Eternatus in these two games is vital to the story, and because of this fact, the legendary must be caught, which is why it is possible to catch it with any type of Pokeball and have a 100 percent catch rate.
It is interesting that despite Eternatus being one of the strongest Pokemon in the franchise, it can be caught by a young trainer with a regular Pokeball without any chance of the Pokeball failing.

The most interesting piece of history about Eternatus is that it is an alien from another planet that traveled to the Pokemon world in a meteor 20,000 years prior to the events of Pokemon Sword & Shield. It is easy to completely miss that Eternatus is an extraterrestrial since it isn’t mentioned very often within the Pokemon games or the anime.
Eternatus isn’t the first extraterrestrial Pokemon; there are many others of this type, including Deoxys and the Ultra Beasts of the Alola region. Eternatus is arguably the strongest alien Pokemon because of its high base stat, its signature move, and its incredibly large body.
