Pokemon Black 2 & White 2 are the second set of Pokemon games in Generation V, and they take place after the events of Pokemon Black & White. Black 2 & White 2 are huge games, and they contain a ton of different end-game content that can be discovered after defeating the Elite Four and finishing the main story.
While playing through these games, you may have missed some of the Legendary Pokemon, battles, and end-game areas that open up after defeating Iris. Some of these experiences are very important in Black 2 & White 2 and even contribute to the main story of the games.
10 Black City And The White Forest
Black City and White Forest are two different locations that are unlocked after completing the main story of Pokemon Black2 & White 2. Depending on which version of the game you are playing, one of these two locations will be unlocked while the other will be inaccessible.
Not only do Black City and White Forest have brand new Pokemon to catch, but they also feature a unique type of post-game battle arena where the player can fight trainer after trainer, similar to a battle tower.
9 Cynthia Battle In Undella Town
There are many beloved Elite 4 members and Champions that have been introduced throughout the Pokemon generations; however, Cynthia is arguably the most popular of all of the Pokemon Champions that have been introduced so far.
Cynthia makes an appearance in Pokemon Black 2 & White 2, although she is easy to miss since she can only be battled after the main story is completed and if the player travels to Undella Town. Cynthia mostly has powerful Pokemon from the Sinnoh region, including Garchomp and Lucario.
8 Black 2 & White 2 Are The Only True Pokemon Sequels
Although there have been many games in the Pokemon franchise that some players may consider sequels, the only true sequels that have ever been released are Pokemon Black 2 & White 2. These games take place directly after the events of Pokemon Black & White.
Additionally, Pokemon Black 2 & White 2 are currently the only games that have a “2” in their title, signifying that they were meant to be sequels and not upgrades to the original game, unlike games such as Crystal and Emerald.
7 Catching Cresselia
Cresselia is a Generation IV Pokemon, and it appears in Black 2 & White 2 as one of the Legendaries that can be caught during the post-game. Cresselia is a Psychic-type Pokemon, and it is one of the strongest Psychic-types in the franchise.
To catch Cresselia, the player must travel to the Reversal Mountain and enter a house containing the Lunar Wing item. After obtaining this unique item, the player can then attempt to catch Cresselia by taking the Lunar Wing to the Marvelous Bridge.
6 Battle With Alder
Similar to Cynthia, the previous champion of the Unova region, Alder, can also be challenged after defeating Iris and finishing the main story. Alder is located in Floccesy Town, and he is one of the most challenging trainers in these games.
Alder uses many powerful Pokemon during the battle, and only a player with high-level Pokemon will be able to defeat him. The strongest Pokemon that Alder uses are Volcarona and Conkeldurr.
5 Catching Heatran
Heatran is another Legendary Pokemon from the Sinnoh region that the player can catch after finishing the game. Heatran has two types, Fire-type and Steel-type. Although these two types are usually considered to be contradictory, Heatran manages to use them both to its advantage. Heatran’s moveset consists of many different types; however, it has a lot of strong Fire-type moves in its arsenal.
Heatran resides inside of Reversal Mountain; however, it will only appear once the player has collected the Magma Stone. The Magma Stone is located on Route 18 and obtaining it requires a Pokemon that knows Surf.
4 The Swords Of Justice
The Swords of Justice are four Legendary Pokemon that were introduced in the Unova region games. Three of these Pokemon can be caught after defeating the Elite 4; however, the fourth is a special event Pokemon that cannot be caught in the same way as most of the Legendaries in Black 2 & White 2. This Pokemon is Keldeo, which could only be caught at the time during events.
Virizion is located on Route 11, Cobalion is located on Route 13, and Terrakion is located on Route 22. All three of these Pokemon are incredibly powerful, and it is worth catching all of them for competitive use.
3 Game Freak Trainers
One of the Easter Eggs in Pokemon Black 2 & White 2 is the Game Freak trainers that the player can challenge. Morimoto and Nishino can both be battled twice, and they have very diverse Pokemon teams.
Morimoto uses the elemental monkeys as his core Pokemon during battles, and Nishino uses Pokemon from previous generations, including Snorlax and Clefable. Neither of these trainers should be missed, as they are both incredibly fun to fight and provide a unique challenge that other trainers in the game aren’t able to provide.
2 Battle With Cheren And Bianca Through The Memory Link
The Memory Link is an interesting mechanic in Pokemon Black 2 & White 2, and it allows for many different battles to take place. Two of these battles are with Cheren and Bianca, the rivals in Pokemon Black & White.
The battles between Cheren and Bianca using the Memory Link feature their original Pokemon parties, which make for an exciting and nostalgic battle that allows players to reminisce on their experiences from the original Pokemon Black & White games. Their parties vary a lot, so be prepared.
1 The Regis
The Underground Ruins are an intricate cave system located in the Unova region, and they make an appearance in Pokemon Black 2 & White 2 as the location where the Legendary Regi trio are located. Regirock, Registeel, and Regice can all be caught in the Underground Ruins. Different conditions are required to make each of the chambers open up.
Once all three of these Legendaries are caught, Regigigas can also be battled and caught by traveling to Twist Mountain.
