The Pokemon GO community has gotten pretty good at anticipating what each of the game’s minor patches and updates are going to bring and often that is because of the information that comes from the Chrales twitter account. The account scours each datamine and APK and offers tons of hints about what is right around the corner or behind the scenes in Pokemon GO’s code.
The latest batch of insight concerns update 0.133.0 and is full of minor, but exciting, groundwork for future features or additions that might temporarily distract players from the new Legendary Raid Boss. There are a few notes to examine here, but one of the most exciting for many players is likely the mention of gender-based evolutions, which could lead to some new Pokedex entries in the near future.
In addition to that bit of exciting news, the update also apparently will set things up for 12 new Spinda forms. Collecting every variety of Spinda is likely only appealing to the more hardcore completionists out there, but it is still going to be an exciting addition (and another reason to add more space to our Pokemon Storage…).
Other tidbits from the thread include the mention of a new “photobomb” badge and three new move sounds: Blaze Kick, Muddy Water, and Razor Shell. PvP addicts may also be excited to hear that new PvP music has also been uncovered.
We’ll continue to monitor the state of the update and report out when any of these changes become official or when new features, moves, or sounds start appearing in the actual live app. Be sure to check back for those news, updates, and guides in the coming weeks. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
