We already know Meloetta is going to be available at Pokemon Go Fest this weekend, but a new datamine suggests there’s going to be a second mythical Pokemon present at the annual shindig. For those looking to avoid spoilers, you might want to skip this one. Consider yourself warned.

The PokéMiners, a group of dataminers that have scoured every bit of code ever released on Pokemon Go, have found a bunch of references to “strange rings” in the data for Pokemon Go Fest. You can read all about their findings on the Reddit post here (thanks, Eurogamer!).

On Pokemon Go Fest day two, a new Special Research will become available to investigate a Legendary Pokemon. Professor Willow has a few lines that basically lay out who it is: “I did have some luck in my search for an explanation, however. Look here—it’s the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa. Known as the Mischief Pokémon, Hoopa enjoys sending things to faraway places using its rings, which can warp space.”

Later in the post, the PokéMiners reveal a few more lines that make it sound like you don’t actually catch Hoopa on day two, possibly setting the Legendary Pokemon up for a future event. Or maybe you catch it on day three.

Hours after the initial data dump was posted to Reddit, the PokéMiners returned yet again with a new loading screen that should go live on Saturday at 6 PM local time. And yes, that’s Hoopa, clear as day.

The likelihood here is that if Hoopa is catchable, you’ll need to grab it in a raid. A new research paper from the Silph Road has confirmed a hidden raid battle mechanic that makes it easier to catch raid bosses the more PokeBalls you throw at it. So be sure to load up on Premium Balls before you head out this weekend.
