Pokemon GO players who want to have a complete Kanto Pokedex have had a number of obstacles to take on during the first few years of the game. In addition to the regional exclusive problem many players have, there is also the need to obtain an EX Invite to add a Mewtwo to the collection. Luckily, there’s about to be a temporary loophole around that challenge.
Thanks to the Ultra Bonus Rewards that are wrapping up the summer months in Pokemon GO, players are going to be able to find Mewtwo in non-EX Raids for the first time ever. To catch Mewtwo without an EX Invite, players just need to participate in Mewtwo Raids between September 20 and October 23.
In addition to being the finale piece of the Kanto Pokedex for some players, Mewtwo is also a strong fighter in the meta game and definitely worth having multiple copies of. Players who want to stay competitive should try to hunt down at least a few high IV Mewtwos while they have the chance.
“On September 20 at 1:00 P.M. (PDT), Mewtwo will come to Raid Battles for the first time ever! Mewtwo has previously only been available to Trainers invited to EX Raids, but now all Trainers will be able to challenge the Legendary Psychic-type Pokémon until October 23 at 1:00 P.M. (PDT). So prepare yourself, and don’t miss your opportunity to encounter this powerful Pokémon before it disappears!”
Check back in the comings days for more details on the Ultra Bonus Rewards and whatever is next for the mobile AR game. Until then, good luck out there, trainers.!
