Now that Pokemon GO’s two-day Eevee event is in the rear view mirror, it’s time for the mobile AR community to start looking ahead to what’s next for the game. Players who work on the weekends can now start requesting days off for the fall, because the Community Day dates for September through November are all public knowledge.
Yesterday, Niantic revealed that September’s Community Day event will focus on Chikorita. The Gen 2 starter may not be the most exciting to the metagamers, but Pokemon GO players will all surely head out to try and collect shiny versions of the monster.
Shortly after the Chikorita details were announced, Serebii reported that that the dates for October and November’s Community Day events are also now available. Be sure to mark these days on the calendar now…
It seems clear that August’s two-day event was a special exception for Eevee and Niantic is back to planning one-day, 3-hour windows for Community Day events. The two-day option was definitely nice for players who work one of the days on the weekend, so it will be interesting to see if Niantic decides to return to that format in the future.
At this point, we don’t know which Pokemon will be featured in October or November, but plenty of theories are already floating around. Be sure to check back for more details in the coming weeks about those events and additional bonuses for the September Community Day.
Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
