Pokemon GO players are constantly trying to complete their Pokedex and one of the hardest entries to capture for many members of the community has been the unpredictable Unown. The spawn has many forms, but only pops up around major events for the most part. This weekend it looks like Pokemon GO players in Seattle are in luck on that front.
PAX West in a major indie game and geek event and, apparently, the gathering is popular enough to attract some PAX-themed Unown forms to appear around the city. Gamers attending the event, or just hanging around Seattle, have reported seeing Unown nearby since the festivities kicked off yesterday.
Here’s a look at some visual proof…
Pokemon GO players lucky enough to be located in the Seattle region can likely find the rare Pokemon between today and September 3 when the event wraps up. Niantic hasn’t confirmed that time window for the spawns, but based on what we saw during Comic-Con and similar events, it seems likely they will last throughout the weekend.
Unfortunately, there’s not much players outside of Seattle can do to get in on the fun aside from texting friends in the area and asking them to get some extras for trading. That could be an expensive trade, but since many players have reached the third tier of friendship and are closing in on the fourth, it’s not quite as bad as it would’ve been last month.
Until next time, good luck out there, trainers!
Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
