The Pokemon Company has been releasing brand new, adorable Pikachu-themed items in Japan. Like the Pikachu gummies that made a splash with fans, some new pilot and steward Pikachus have been spotted in more and more Japanese airports without any fanfare.

On June 13th, 2020, these amazing plushies were first spotted at the Pokemon Store in Itami Airport in Japan. The designs feature Pikachu wearing a little pilot’s uniform with a white shirt and tie. The stewardess outfit includes a little blue dress and red neck bow. These adorable plushies come hard on the heels of the release of the Build-A-Bear Jolteon, giving fans plenty of plushies to pine over.

This week, they were spotted in two new airports Shinchitose Airport and the Chubu Centrair International Airport. These two new locations include the plushies, keychains, and stickers with the flying-themed Pikachus. These beautiful new designs are going for 1870 yen each, so they are a little more expensive than last year’s pilot and stewardess styles.

Thankfully, these plushies are a little smaller and more affordable than the massive Pokemon Sword and Shield Gigantimax plushies released last month, but US fans are still looking for them a little closer to home. Unfortunately, since there are no Pokemon stores in US airports, these plushies will probably never make it to this side of the world. US fans will probably have to as someone traveling to or from Japan soon, or see if they can find themselves one on a reselling site like eBay.
