Last year, The Pokemon Company released Pokemon Rumble Rush for mobile devices. Unfortunately, Pokemon Rumble Rush failed to generate much excitement, earning largely negative reviews and being quickly forgotten about by fans of the franchise. And now Pokemon Rumble Rush is on its final days, as the game’s shut down date has been announced.

The Pokemon Company has confirmed that Pokemon Rumble Rush will shut down on July 22. Players are no longer able to purchase the game’s microtransactions, and any unused diamonds will be refunded, though details on how exactly that will work have yet to be revealed.

While Pokemon Rumble Rush is on its last few months, the game will still be getting some in-game events so that it goes out with a bang. More Pokemon are set to be added to Pokemon Rumble Rush in some of its upcoming updates, and the Greninja and the Wonders of Kalos event will take place from May 6 to May 27. When the Greninja and the Wonders of Kalos event concludes, Pokemon Rumble Rush fans can look forward to another update that adds more content to the game.

Even though support is ending for Pokemon Rumble Rush, it doesn’t mean that the Pokemon Rumble sub-series will never return. There have been multiple Pokemon Rumble games over the years, and perhaps one could come out for the Nintendo Switch at some point down the line.

Pokemon Rumble Rush is available on iOS and Android mobile devices until July 22.
