This bundle of fluff is a generation six pokémon known for its messy eating and insatiable appetite. If you’d like to add a Swirlix or a Slurpuff to your roster, here’s where to get one in Sword and Shield.
Where To Find Swirlix In Sword
Swirlix is a Sword exclusive pokémon, so if you’re playing Shield, you’ll need to trade. The two best places to find Swirlix are as an overworld spawn in Route 5, or near the Giant’s Mirror region of the Wild Area during foggy weather (40% appearance rate).
How To Evolve Swirlix Into Slurpuff
To evolve Swirlix, you’re going to need two things: the Whipped Dream held item, and a good friend to trade with. To get your hands on a Whipped Dream, talk to the girl beside the PokéMart counter in the central Hammerlocke Pokécenter to trade 1 Battle Point for it. You can also receive a Whipped Dream as a reward from winning at the Battle Cafe, but it’s not a surefire method, as there is a wide range of rewards. Just have Swirlix hold the item when you trade it and make sure your friend gives it back.
What Slurpuff Does In Battle
Slurpuff doesn’t excel at a lot in battle, but its fairy typing and relatively robust access to stat changing moves means it has a handful of tricks up its sleeve. Trainers who’d like to use Slurpuff could try having it learn Belly Drum, Wish, Play Rough, and Drain Punch for a little coverage. Belly Drum provides Swirlix with a much-needed attack boost, while Drain Punch and Wish help keep it alive.
