Pokemon designs have gotten steadily weirder and weirder across multiple generations. We’re now at the point where items like ice cream cones or actual garbage are acceptable subjects to base a new pocket monster on. So it’s not particularly surprising that something like Klink exists. The creature is composed of two interlocking gears with faces that look perpetually shocked, likely because they’re both missing an eye.
If this mechanical mischief-maker sounds like something you want for your personal collection in Pokemon Sword & Shield, then take a gander at this guide.
Where To Find Klink
Klink is a somewhat common Pokemon as they have a 25% chance to spawn in a number of locations. The easiest place to find them is at North Lake Miloch, although they can be acquired at South Lake Miloch, and West Lake Axewell as well. They can also be caught in Axew’s Eye, Hammerlocke Hills, and Dappled Grove. They tend to be found most often during cold weather, so they should be plentiful when a snowstorm breaks out.
How To Evolve Klink Into Klang And Klinklang
Evolving Klink is a fairly easy process. You first need to turn Klink into Klang. Simply level them up to level 38 and the evolution should occur naturally (at least as naturally as a set of gears evolving can be.) Once you reach level 49 with Klang, it will evolve into its final form, Klinklang.
What Klink Does In Battle
As a steel type Pokemon, Klink is incredibly weak against fire, ground, and fighting types. It’s capable of learning some strong electric abilities, the best of which are likely Zap Cannon, Hyper Beam, and Discharge. Its signature move, Gear Grind, can be a great steel-type move to use as it manages to inflict damage with two separate strikes, meaning there’s double the chance of landing critical hits.
