Many kids who grew up with the Pokemon games or anime would absolutely adore the idea of being in the world of Pokemon or having them exist in our world. Thinking about how they could benefit everyday lives is astounding. There would be more assistants in the medical field, as well as the fire and police departments. They would also be great as pets, just as long as they can actually fit inside a house. The idea sounds wonderful, right?

Having Pokemon like a Growlithe or Skitty is safe and they are great as companions, but then there are others like Mimikyu and Drifloon who are just as adorable, but have Pokedex entries recording their past behaviors around humans.

Updated January 10, 2022, by Cameron Miller: Pokemon lovers are more excited than ever for Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which means it’s the perfect time to dive back into the wide world of collectible creatures. It’s more than likely that most Pokemon fans wish their favorites existed in the real world, but many never bother thinking about just how useful they’d be. There are hundreds of Pokemon that could help change the way the entire world functioned if they actually existed. If they all existed the world would probably fall into chaos, but if a handful of the most incredible Pokemon existed, life as gamers know it could be improved in an incredible number of ways.

10 Absol

Absol is misunderstood to the point where people in the Pokemon world see it as a bringer of disaster but that is far from the truth. While yes, disasters come when Absol shows up, its true purpose is to warn people of the impending danger. Having an Absol can be beneficial in order for it to sense what is to come, like natural disasters, thievery, and many other scary situations.

To add to how Absol does good, not bad, it is not a fan of fighting. All Absol cares about is making sure that both humans and Pokemon know what will happen and can get to safety by any means necessary.

9 Blastoise

There’s certainly a ton of different reasons why it would be great to have some Blastoise running around in the world, but the biggest might be their potential use in emergency situations. There’s nothing scarier than being face to face with a roaring fire that’s gotten out of control.

If a group of firefighters arrived on the scene of a big fire with a Blastoise or two amongst their group, it wouldn’t be long until the fire was put out with minimal risk to human and pokemon life. The powerful stream of water a Blastoise could output would rival an ordinary firehose any day.

8 Eevee

Eevee might not have a unique way of making the real world a better place, but it’d be wrong not to include it on the list due to how freaking adorable it is. Its popularity rivals that of Pikachu and it’s not a surprise. It is adaptable and can live in any environment as long as it’s healthy and loved by its owners.

Another interesting way Eevee can be included in our world is how it would evolve. What if Eevee likes to be near water, or has great affection for you during daylight or moonlight? Or maybe it doesn’t want to evolve and still be the cute furball that it is. Regardless of the what-ifs, you can never go wrong with wanting an Eevee.

7 Medicham

With each passing day, it can seem like more and more people could use a nice session of yoga and meditation. While there are plenty of excellent teachers and guides, it’s hard to argue that a group of Medicham wouldn’t be master yogis if they really existed.

With the various psychic abilities that Medicham have at their disposal, they’d likely not only be able to guide you through difficult yoga poses but also help unwind constantly occupied minds. Meditation can be difficult for newbies, but a Medicham could make it much simpler.

6 Suicune

Realistically, Suicune shouldn’t be under the ownership of any person. It is, however, amazing for what it can do if it lived in the real world. Suicune can purify water just by touching it, and it would be incredible for it to clean water from all over the globe so everyone can have access to clean water.

Sure, it would be rare to see Suicune due to roaming around a lot, but it is basically a legendary Pokemon we need desperately. The mystical and powerful energy it carries makes it one of the best Pokemon to save any world. By being compassionate, calm, and steadfast to its goal, the Aurora Pokemon is a hero we need.

5 Floatzel

The most heroic career choices can come with a lot of risks. While a lifeguard can work within a smaller pool, they can also work with far larger bodies of water, and that would be the perfect place for a group of well-trained Floatzels.

Big fans of the Pokemon series likely already know that in the world of Pokemon, Floatzel is often described as a creature that helps rescue those drowning in water. If that could be applied to real-world oceans in which rescue missions can be both difficult and incredibly dangerous to all involved, aquatic rescue may be much easier.

4 Ditto

Ditto seems like an odd choice, but considering that it can transform into anything, even a cannon for some reason, there are actually a ton of pros (and small cons) for what it would be like if Ditto can exist in our world. Say that you are not feeling well or have to do two things at once, a Ditto can transform into you and go to work while you can recover. If you want to be sneaky, then Ditto can be you at that event you really didn’t want to attend, and you can hang out with friends.

The cons can depend on certain situations. The inevitable one is that it will be obvious to figure out who is the real you and who is the Ditto. While it can transform down to a tee, the face gives it away. They may also interfere in your relationships and cause some chaos at work so this one is a choice to be used with caution.

3 Sawk & Throh

There is a surprising amount of Pokemon that could act as some kind of martial arts teacher if they really existed, but the best may be the relatively new duo Sawk and Throh. Many fighting enthusiasts could likely only dream of sparring and grappling with Sawk and Throh during their lifetime.

With Sawk being said to be powerful enough to karate chop the ocean, it’s safe to say many fighters would be interested in learning from it. With how serious Throh is about its training, those that dedicate their lives to martial arts would likely find kinship with the bright-red Pokemon.

2 Chansey

As the iconic Pokemon associated with Nurse Joy, having Chansey, and even Blissey would be amazing to have due to their caring natures and unbelievable healing abilities. Her eggs are very nutritious and are great resources for those who have lost or appetite or are in need of healing. Speaking of healing, she can have the ability Natural Cure or hidden ability Healer.

Chansey is also known for bringing good luck and happiness, considering her rare appearance in the wild and having either the Lucky Egg or Lucky Punch item. For a sweet and nurturing Pokemon, the world would be a better place with Chanseys being amazing assistants at a hospital, big and small.

1 Jynx & Mr. Mime

The importance of a good daycare should never be understated. It’s hard work to care for and teach young children, regardless of who’s doing it, but it’s possible the work could be made easier with some help from a Mr. Mime and a Jynx.

The goofy but human-like appearance of both Pokemon is something that young kids would likely love to experience thanks to their close resemblance to other fictional children’s creatures. With their psychic abilities, both Pokemon could calm troubled children both in times of trouble and simply when it’s time for a nap.
