Bandai’s newest sets of Pokémon Scale World Figurines are now available for pre-order from the NintendoSoup Store.
The figurines will ship come February of next year in two separate rounds. The first set to ship is the Pokemon Scale World Galar: Bea and Hitmontop set, followed shortly by the Pokémon Scale World Galar: Allister, Cursola, and Mimikyu set.
Bea is the gym leader of Stow-on-Side’s Gym and specializes in fighting-type pokemon. Fittingly she is paired with Hitmontop, a second-generation, fighting-type Pokémon that is reportedly 4 feet 7 inches tall, which means the figurine should be approximately 2.75 inches tall.
Allister, the fourth gym leader that you’ll face in Pokémon Sword and Shield, is a spooky, mask-wearing gym leader that specializes in ghost-types. He is boxed with Cursola (a water/rock-type Pokémon) and Mimikyu (the disguise Pokémon that turns itself into an off-brand Pikachu to make friends).
The Bea and Hitmontop set is listed for pre-order at $62.99. For those who are looking for a deal, the Allister, Cursola, and Mimikyu set is priced at $56.99 and comes with three figurines. If you’re bad at math, that’s one more figurine than the Bea and Hitmontop set. If you’re really bad at math, that’s also five dollars cheaper than the Bea and Hitmontop set.
The Scale World Galar figurines, which are 1/20 the size of the Pokémon they represent, were announced last year as a limited set of first-generation Pokémon from the Galar region (of which Pokémon Sword and Shield is set). Due to its popularity, the line is steadily growing in size and is likely to continue its expansion.
The original set contained seven packs (13 figures) and was shipped with a piece of gum in each. If you’re considering forking over the hundreds of dollars it will take to amass the full collection, it’s probably wise to steer clear of eating the gum at this point.
The figurines are exclusive to Bandai Premium and can be pre-ordered from the NintendoSoup Store right here and here.
