Revealed to immediate hype and praise, the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter released the time and date for the second episode to its highly beloved Night City Wire digital event early Thursday morning. The followup is scheduled to broadcast on the official CD Projekt Red Twitch channel on Monday, August 6th at 6 PM CEST, or 9 AM EST/3 AM PST for US-based fans.

It’s time now more than ever to jack in, as the countdown to Cyberpunk 2077’s November 19th release date wanes and the anticipation is at an all-time high.

The second entry in the Night City Wire showcase will focus on lifepaths (of which we know are three), types of various Cyberpunk 2077 weaponry, in addition to the evolution of the in-game’s chrome rock music band SAMURAI. There will most likely be even more in-game details amid the event, with various developers and Cyberpunk insiders discussing what other glories of the cybernetic dark future fans can expect. With only 105 days until the game’s release (at the time of writing), there is so much time left to discover various aspects of Cyberpunk 2077 still left unsaid.

Episode one of Night City Wire showed fans an all-new trailer and an upcoming anime series, called Edgerunners, which is slated for release on Netflix in 2022. There was also an in-depth look at the braindance technique, a kind of Inception-like mind-entering feature wherein players can view “a recording of someone else’s experience” by way of a special implant device. With a multitude of perks and cyberware at a player’s disposal, it will be interesting to see how players utilize these various tools to their advantage across many different playthroughs.

Although there won’t be any form of demo available, and with a plethora of scams out there falsifying beta tests, it’s the perfect time for CDPR to release more valuable information on what else fans may expect in arguably one of 2020s most anticipated gaming experiences. The last Night City Wire, though full of interesting commentary and details about Cyberpunk 2077, left many fans still starving for more. Of interest is a more broadened look at the dialogue system, in-game transportation, hand-to-hand combat, weather alterations, and a more streamlined explanation of the overarching narrative at play.

Heat up those holodecks and start downloading the necessary firmware, as the next installment in the Night City Wire showcase draws near, and on the dark horizon is only but a far-future Los Angeles lying in wait for the taking.
