To celebrate the ten year anniversary of their online storage service, PlayStation has released a free theme for download.

All of this also comes at a pretty reasonable set of prices with varying time frames of membership. Get it for free for two weeks or pay just $5 a month to have it for an entire year. Commitment issues? Become a member for three months for $8 a month or for a month at $10. This is a lot of good stuff to celebrate, plus an entire decade is a huge milestone, and what better way to celebrate than more free stuff?

The theme is a vibrant, bright yellow that features a few line drawings of some favorite characters from popular PlayStation. The yellow, while maybe a little abrasive in its brightness, is inspired by the PlayStation Plus control pad logo of the same color. Among the games featured in the etching on this theme are Bioshock and Destiny. And, for anyone who downloaded the theme just because of their affinity for yellow, Sony has thrown a big number 10 in the top corner with “PlayStation Plus Anniversary” as a border.

With all of the awesome stuff that PlayStation Plus already supplies for its members, something as simple as a free theme makes sense as a way to celebrate their first double digit anniversary. It’s a happy color that is hard to miss, so if nothing else it’ll grab people’s attention and maybe get them curious about the membership service.
