PlayStation’s Essential Picks sale goes live today and it features quite a few deals that need to be taken advantage of.
The current generation of console is about to come to an end. However, that doesn’t mean it is time to cast our PlayStation 4s and Xbox Ones aside. Not only will they get plenty of use for the next couple of months while gamers wait for the arrivals of the PS5 and Xbox Series X, but also beyond that as not everyone will step into the next generation on day one.
It’s also not as if releases have dried up on the current-gen consoles. Later this week, the highly anticipated and previously delayed Marvel’s Avengers finally arrives. We would also be willing to bet that there are still plenty of games players are yet to enjoy. Titles they didn’t get around to when they were first released, or passed over because of the lofty launch price.
If that sounds like you, then now is the time to check out PlayStation’s Essential Picks sale. It starts today in Europe and the US and features some serious heavy hitters from the PS4 roster at reduced prices. Most notably, The Last of Us Part II. The regular version of the game is currently available for $49.99, or its Deluxe Edition is on sale for $10 more. Pretty good for a great game that was released less than three months ago.
Now was already the best time to play Marvel’s Spider-Man ahead of the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PS5. Its Game of the Year Edition, which includes all three parts of the City That Never Sleeps DLC, is now up for grabs on the PS Store for just $19.99. An absolute steal for anyone who doesn’t already have this game.
Death Stranding, NFS Heat, FIFA 20, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare have also been heavily discounted as a part of the Essential Picks sale. Like we said, something for everyone, and deals that need to be taken advantage of. PS4 owners have two weeks to buy these games at discounted prices. The Essential Picks sale will come to an end at 11:59 pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.
