Not surprisingly, the PUBG community is having a blast with the April Fool’s POBG mini-game. The limited-time event is available through the main menu, and drops you into a retro, top-down shooter that sees you facing off against murderous chickens. The developer has heard your pleas, and will be extending POBG’s availability.

Originally scheduled to run through April 12 on PC and April 19 on consoles, POBG will now linger around until April 28 on PC and May 6 on consoles. That’s more than two weeks of additional playtime – so jump in and check out the action while you can.

POBG was inspired by Alexy “Gas13” Garkushin, an artist who last year released their own pixelized interpretation of the Karakin map. You can check out the POBG release trailer below:

As far as April Fool’s jokes go, this has to be one of the most exciting of 2021. Plenty of other games joined in on the pranks this year – including Valorant, For Honor, and Fortnite – but none of those shenanigans can go blow-for-blow with the fully-featured prank that is POBG. Featuring various weapons, maps, and enemy types, it’s clear a lot of time and effort when into the limited-time game mode.
