As efforts for social distancing remain in place now and for the foreseeable future, esports and other video game events are seeing their traditional public events scrapped in favor of at-home alternatives. Now players will have the opportunity to compete in several games in the first, and hopefully only ever, Social Distancing Cup.

This free online charity tournament is being organized by global esports organization Generation Esports (formerly High School Esports League), in partnership with top esports and gaming hardware sponsors and will support communities around the globe that have been affect by the ongoing spread of Covid-19. Players will be able to compete in League of Legends, Rocket League, and Teamfight Tactics for the better part of a month, with competition ending on May 10.

Enrollment is wide open to anyone in the continental U.S. with a $30,000 USD prize pool. Money isn’t the only prize up for grabs, as players will also have a chance to win ASUS Republic of Gamers and TUF Gaming laptops, hardware, and merchandise, custom Generation Esports jerseys and mugs from Skullz, Viewsonic gaming monitors, Zaxby’s vouchers, and Dr. Squatch Soap.

Now is the best time to show off your skills in one, two, or all three games! Readers can click here to register for free.
