Rainbow Six Siege is changing the way new players get their info. R6 Academy will soon be replaced by Gameplan.

Unlike many competitive online shooters, Rainbow Six Siege has an extensive library of resources that have been curated by the company itself to encourage and enlighten new players. Called R6 Academy, it’s a dedicated website with everything from game tutorials to map walkthroughs to tips and tricks. It’s a great site and useful for both new and veteran players to refer to.

And now it’s getting replaced. Ubisoft made the announcement today that R6 Academy will be replaced by Gameplan, an integrated version of R6 Academy that you can access from the Rainbow Six Siege client. It’ll have all the same great info that R6 Academy had, just now it’s more accessible.

Better yet, players can submit their own videos to add to Gameplan’s library. Videos will be vetted by Ubisoft’s team of “Siege Experts” to ensure they meet the highest quality and utmost standards of helpfulness.

You can expect R6 Academy to swap with Gameplan on June 11.

In other Rainbow Six Siege news, Wamai’s Gift is now available for UbisoftClub members. Kill 20 attacker drones while defending to unlock this exclusive MP5K skin. Also, Zofia’s Elite Set is now available in the Rainbow Six Siege store. The set gets you the Duch Bojowy uniform, victory animation, new gadget and weapon skins, and the Elite Zofia Chibi charm.

We still don’t know when Steel Wave is launching, but it will likely be soon! Stay tuned.
