Season 2 of Rainbow Six Siege brings the Steel Wave update, which means two new Operators and a map rework.

Grand Larceny ends today, and with it comes the close of season one. Season two of Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 is set to pick up soon with an update called Steel Wave, and it’s starting things off with a bang. Literally.

Ace is one of the two new operators to join the Rainbow Six family. This Norwegian Attacker comes equipped with a SELMA gadget, which is basically a tiny canister that sticks to walls and explodes. It’s a breaching gadget that you can use to make small, medium, or large-sized rectangular holes in any breachable surface. He also comes equipped with an AK-12 assault rifle with NATO sights, an M1014 Shotgun, and a P9 sidearm.

From South Africa comes Melusi, a Defender that comes armed with her personal Banshee device. This gadget emits a loud humming noise that will slow down the movement speed of any attacker that’s caught within its radius. She also comes with a T-5 SMG, a Super 90 shotgun, and an RG15 sidearm.

In addition to the two new operators, Amaru is getting a few tweaks, House is being reworked to add “new spaces and obstacles to offer new strategies and challenges,” and there’s a brand new secondary gadget to contend with. Steel Wave doesn’t have a specific launch date quite yet, but you just know it’s gonna be soon.
