10 Until Dawn

When we think of Until Dawn, we get a bizarre sense of a game that is reminiscent of a teen horror flick. Appearances from actors like Rami Malek as Joshua Washington, Hayden Panettiere as Samantha, Peter Stormare as Dr. Hill, and Brett Dalton as Michael Munroe add to the excitement in Until Dawn.

Something is amiss on Blackwood Mountain, and it’s the job of the player to find out what is going on. Mediocre gameplay is offset by the game’s storytelling, but Until Dawn is so much more than a horror flick. It’s not for everyone, but most fans of the horror genre will likely find something to enjoy in Until Dawn.

8 Shadow Of The Colossus

Shadow of the Colossus is a remake of the original Shadow of Colossus game that released for the PlayStation 2. As the name would suggest, fighting Colossal statues is the main objective of the game. You play as a boy named Wander, who finds himself in the middle of a forbidden land.

The story develops as the game progresses, and players will find the gameplay of Shadow of Colossus enjoyable. Battling colossi proves to be a grueling task even for the most skilled players.

7 Ratchet & Clank

At face value, Ratchet & Clank looks like a game meant for kids. Be that as it may, Ratchet and Clank can appeal to players of all ages. Cutscenes are reminiscent of a Pixar Animation Studios film, and the gameplay is more refined than expected. Using gadgets to progress through Ratchet & Clank is intuitive.

It’s worth noting that Ratchet & Clank for PS4 is a remake of the Ratchet & Clank game that released for the PS2. Each of its levels is polished with more detail than its original iteration could have imagined.

6 Horizon Zero Dawn

Comparable to games such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the greatest hits of the PlayStation 4. In a post-apocalyptic world taken over by robotic animals, Nora proves to be an exceptional fighter.

With an augmented reality device, she can take down aggressive, rampant machines to protect her people. In addition to playing the base game, it’s worth checking out The Frozen Wilds, a Horizon Zero Dawn DLC expansion.

4 The Last Of Us Remastered

3 Bloodborne

From the creators of Dark Souls comes Bloodborne, a dark action-adventure game that must be played. One of the first things people will notice when playing Bloodborne is that it has a tough progression. Bloodborne is not recommended for new gamers.

Those who are brave enough to dive into the gloomy world of Bloodborne will be embarking on a journey as the Hunter, a character who tries to remove the plague from the city of Yharnam. A wide variety of gadgets and a pistol capable of shooting silver bullets add to the enjoyment of Bloodborne.

2 Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Often compared to the Tomb Raider game series, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is the highest-selling exclusive on the PlayStation 4. Its storytelling is unparalleled, and although its action sequences could use more variation, solving puzzles and in-game nuances like playing Crash Bandicoot make Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End stand out as an exclusive.

It is recommended to play the first three Uncharted games to get the full experience from  Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, but even as a standalone, Uncharted 4: A Theif’s End is a wild ride.

1 God Of War

SIE Santa Monica Studio’s latest God of War entry is without a doubt the strongest yet. God of War is a mythological hack and slash game that has sold more than 10 million copies, making it the second highest-selling game on the PlayStation 4 just behind Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

This time around, Kratos has lost some of his powers, and he has a son named Atreus. The game is about teaching his son the ways of the warrior and fulfilling Kratos’s deceased wife’s wishes. Naturally, a larger story unfolds as the game progresses. If you only decide to play one PlayStation 4 exclusive, God of War would be a fantastic choice.
