There are tons of PlayStation 4 exclusives with two major ones (Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima) still to come. Each one boasts a unique protagonist with differentiating abilities. Some are humans. One is a God, another is a Lombax, and one is essentially a metahuman.
If all these characters went toe to toe, who would come out on top? The characters on this list are playable characters from PlayStation 4 exclusives. Everyone has access to all their abilities and powers. Who is the weakest and who is the strongest of them all? The list of exclusives comes from PlayStation’s website.
10 Grayson/Sir Galahad - The Order 1886
The Order 1886, the game with an intriguing setting and spectacular graphics, that everyone forgets about. When it was first announced in 2013, gamers were excited. The game was set around the fictional Order of Knights in a supernatural filled, Neo-Victorian London.
Too bad the limited gameplay and short length made the game more like watching a movie. It follows Grayson, previously known as Sir Galahad, a 400-year-old Knight. Don’t worry, he looks like and functions like a 40-year-old man thanks to black water. The main reason he made it on the list was his healing factor and ability to slow downtime. He doesn’t have any other amazing abilities making him the weakest on the list.
9 Knack - Knack Series
This launch title was kid-friendly but that doesn’t mean the titular Knack isn’t powerful. Knack is a living organism made up of relics. He has one main relic at the center and several shifting relics that make up his body. Knack has fighting experience by saving humanity from those pesky goblins.
He does the typical melee but can, most impressively, manipulate his form. Knack can get small to escape encounters or grow up to 32-feet. He can also create shockwaves, tornados around his body, and use relics like projectiles. This is all impressive but everyone else on the list has succeeded in fighting bigger, stronger enemies.
8 Aloy - Horizon Zero Dawn
Aloy is one of the toughest video game characters around. In fact, she spends most of her time fighting humongous robot dinosaurs. Aloy overcame great trauma in Horizon Zero Dawn and went on a journey to find out about her past.
She was trained at a young age to be a skilled hunter and fighter. Aloy has access to all kinds of weapons from various arrow types to a rope caster that can entrap enemies. Her biggest asset is her ability to analyze an enemy and find its weak spots. She is an excellent fighter but lacks superhuman abilities like the majority of characters on the list.
7 Ratchet - Ratchet & Clank
Ratchet may not seem like much of a threat at first glance but his vast array of weaponry makes him a dangerous fighter. The original Ratchet and Clank was rebooted for the PS4 and garnered critical acclaim. Ratchet is nimble and quick making him a difficult target for enemies but his weapons and gadgets are his true asset.
For one, there are so many that it’s impossible to look at them all. He has weapons that can turn people into sheep, shoot flames, shoot explosive grenades, project an electrical charge, turn enemies into pixels, force enemies to dance, and shoot missiles. Suffice it to say: he has a weapon for every situation.
6 Kat- Gravity Rush Series
Gravity Rush was one of PlayStation Vita’s biggest successes. It followed Kat who can manipulate gravity through her trusty cat. The original game was ported to the PS4 and the sequel released for the console. Kat is a bubbly character but she is not afraid to throw down.
Her powers make her a force to be reckoned with. She can fly through the air with astonishing speed, run on the side of buildings and lift objects and people into the air. Kat has some strong legs that can quickly knock her enemies senseless, especially when she does a flying kick from the air.
5 The Hunter - Bloodborne
Bloodborne will forever be regarded as a PS4 era gem. From Software managed to bring the strategically difficult combat from Dark Souls to a whole new setting and story. Players fight their way through Yharnam, a gothic city where disease runs rampant.
The unimaginably difficult enemies are enough to prove the hunter’s valor in combat. He/she wields all kinds of deadly weapons from huge blades to an electrified mace. The Hunter is also skilled with a variety of firearms making him deadly at close and long-range. When you can defeat the Orphan of Kos, then you must be truly powerful.
4 Spider-Man - Marvel’s Spider-Man
Insomniac’s version of Spider-Man was a nearly perfect recreation of the character. Peter was an extremely caring person and he had the right balance between humor and smarts. The game also captured Spider-Man’s powers perfectly. The web-slinging was fun, and it worked well in a beautifully detailed New York City.
It featured all kinds of Spidey gadgets and the combat made you feel like Spider-Man. The web head’s intelligence and extreme power can best almost any foe. That being said, the remaining characters are on a whole different level.
3 Delsin Rowe - Infamous Second Son
Infamous Second Son continued the Infamous story with a new character: Delsin Rowe. Whereas the previous protagonist, Cole MacGrath, mastered electricity, Rowe could absorb numerous powers. The first of his powers is smoke, which allows him to turn into smoke and dash to new vantage points and even through objects.
He can also shoot smoke from his hands, create smoke grenades and use it as a form of propulsion. Second is neon, which grants him super speed and lasers. An odd power includes video, which can shoot out of his hands like machine gun rounds and turn him invisible for a short amount of time. Lastly, he can use the power of concrete to become extremely strong and even make himself into a living boulder. Suffice it to say, Rowe is a bit overpowered.
2 Aarbron - Shadow Of The Beast
Aarbron was abducted as a child by the beast, Lord Maletoth, and made into a monstrous warrior. After remembering some of his childhood memories, he seeks revenge on Lord Maletoth hence the bloodbath that is Shadow of the Beast. Aarbron is the only character that could stand a chance against the number one spot. His claws are powerful enough to cut through anything in his path.
They can also emit a powerful flame to cook his enemies alive. He can create a double of himself and control massive spikes that shoot out of the ground. Alongside his inherent abilities, Aarbron has mastery over certain technology such as jet backs and a gun gauntlet. Not to mention, he is nearly invincible and extremely fast.
1 Kratos- God of War Series
This is surely no surprise. Kratos is often touted as one of the strongest video game characters ever created. After a ploy caused him to kill his own family, Kratos sets out for revenge. The outcome of that revenge was the death of all the Greek Gods, even Zeus. Kratos has insurmountable strength and power.
His signature weapons are the blades of chaos, which are blades attached to the end of fiery chains. God of War PS4 also introduced the leviathan ax, which has elemental capabilities and the power to always return to the user’s hand. His body count should be enough to prove he is the strongest. Just take a look at this if you need more convincing.
