It turns out that May 2020 is the month of Razer - the accessories and lifestyle brand synonymous with everything in gaming. The company released its Razer Opus headphones this week, which are some of the best wireless headphones I personally have ever had the pleasure of trying out.
Razer is continuing its current trend of new releases with its unveiling of the all-new Razer Blade Pro 17 - the laptop “built for professional gamers, designers, and game developers.”
The Blade Pro 17 features a 4K 120Hz display providing high-resolution capabilities for creators, while a Full-HD 300Hz option is available for gamers to take full advantage of by keeping visuals sharp and clean in fast-paced and chaotic situations. Additionally, the 17.3-inch Full-HD display takes advantage of the SRGB space and is coated with a matte finish to reduce glare.
The Blade Pro 17 is powered by Intel and NVIDIA processors, including the 8-core 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10875H and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER, which features up to 8GB of high-bandwidth GDDR6 memory and more ray tracing cores that can provide up to a 25% increase in performance over the original RTX GPUs.
The rig comes jam-packed with ports and connectivity options, including a UHS-III SD card reader, USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port, HDMI 2.0B, 2.5Gb Ethernet, and Wi-Fi 6. The USB-C ports also support charging with a 20V USB-C charger.
And of course, along with its HD webcam, the Blade Pro 17 provides users with an extended right shift key and half-height directional keys with its staple Razer Chroma RGB backlighting.
“The Razer Blade Pro 17 is the perfect laptop for power users, pro gamers, and creatives alike,” stated Brad Wildes, Senior Vice President of Razer’s Systems Business. “It’s a workstation, stream setup, and battle rig all wrapped up in one sleek and sexy 17-inch bundle. The Blade Pro 17 can tackle the latest games and most intensive workloads as easily as it can fit into a backpack.”
The Razer Blade Pro 17 will start at a price of $2,599.99, and will be available later this month at Razer.com and other select retailers throughout the United States and Canada, with Europe, China, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East receiving the laptop at a later date.
