E3 is just around the corner, and video game companies are starting to announce their plans. This includes Razer, who will host a keynote address on June 14 at 3 PM PST (6 PM EST). The presentation will be hosted by Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan and include “an ultimate line-up not to be missed.” Whatever that might mean.
In fact, you can go to Razer’s website to guess what that might mean and possibly win a free Orochi V2 mouse. You’ll have to sign up for Razer’s newsletter though.
So what might Razer have on offer? Their social media accounts show lots of merch on sale, but precious little about what Razer has prepared for E3. Previous surprise announcements included an astonishing new gaming chair and a COVID-19 facemask with RGB lighting. With the pandemic on the wane, we’re expecting less COVID-themed devices and more of Razer’s standard fare, such as new mice, keyboards, and headsets.
We’ll probably get an update on how Sneki Snek’s campaign to save a million trees is going. You should buy a Sneki Snek and save a tree, by the way.
Razer’s presentation will come the day before Nintendo hosts its Direct-style E3 presentation on Sunday morning. We’re as clueless about what Nintendo has planned for E3 as we are Razer, but we know for sure that the Japanese game maker will only discuss software, so don’t expect any big Switch Pro announcements.
Bethesda and Xbox will host a joint presentation on June 13 where we’ll likely see Starfield in action for the first time. And after Nintendo’s time, the ESA will host an official awards ceremony where the best upcoming games are selected by the editors of several game publications.
