Call of Duty: Warzone is the hottest battle royale on the block, and as such players are coming up with ingenious new ways to play the game. The latest highlight involves deployable cover, an item that’s underused and — quite frankly — seen as a pretty useless pickup. That might change in the future, as one Redditor discovered that the cover can be used to boost players up to locations that were previously inaccessible.
The gameplay clip starts out with the player checking their heartbeat sensor and realizing there’s an enemy up on the roof of their building. The enemy isn’t aware that our ingenious player is below them, but that doesn’t matter — typically, there’s no easy way to climb from the top floor of the building to the roof.
However, after using their deployable cover near the exterior wall, the player clambers on to it and uses it as a step to boost themselves onto the roof. From here, they nab an easy kill on an unsuspecting foe.
It’s a brilliant use of an otherwise not-so-brilliant item, and it’s great to see players coming up with new uses for boring gear. If more people start utilizing deployable cover in this fashion, players who like to camp in hard-to-reach, vertical locations will have to start watching their backs.
