Oops, there’s an underground yellow jacket nest you didn’t see and now you’re running through the forest screaming at the top of your lungs.
This may or may not be stories from personal experience. In any case, wasps are the worst, and they’re no better in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Luckily, you can get rid of them with this handy trick.
From Reddit user Caramilli comes this delightfully simple tactic of scaring away wasps. When a wasp nest falls from a tree due to wood or fruit gathering, quickly switch to your inventory and grab your party popper, then use them before you’re stung. Presto! Instant wasp begone.
Party poppers aren’t your only option when encountering wasps in New Horizons. If you’re fast, you can swap you your net and try to catch them. But beware: wasps are fast so you’ll only have one shot before they sting you!
