What better way to show off Remnant’s new rogue-like Survival Mode than with a Twitch streamer showdown?
The Survival Showdown tournament will take place from 10 AM-2 PM PDT tomorrow and will see 6 teams race against each other in the new Survival Mode to see who can push the furthest and kill the most bosses. The winning team will be awarded some custom Remnant: From The Ashes hardware to give away.
The tournament coincides with the release of Swamps of Corsus, a brand new expansion for Remnant that introduces Survival Mode, cosmetics, new gear, and a brand new adventure mode in Corsus. In the base game, Corsus was a linear zone with very little customization. The new adventure introduces bosses, armor, and weapons to the zone to really boost the replayability.
Competitors in the Survival Showdown include Lirik, Shortyyguy, GiantWaffle, Cohhcarnage, Sacriel, Anthony_Kongphan, JoshOG, Dasmehdi, GassyMexican, Burkleblack, Classpax, KingGothalion, ProfessorBroman, TeaWrex, AdmiralBahroo, and Crream. The 16 streamers are spread out to 6 teams, meaning 2 of the teams will only have 2 players.
Survival Mode is a new rogue-like experience where players start with nothing but a pistol and enough scrap to buy an item or two. Each round sends survivors into a random world where they must progress to the dungeon, clear the dungeon, and face off against a random boss.
