Remnant: From The Ashes is a game with a lot of possibilities for a player with a keen eye and a good trigger finger. There are enemies to conquer, NPCs to befriend, and a catalog of weaponry to craft. However, some things can’t be made, adding a level of rarity and prestige to those who manage to find them.
Liz’s Key is an item only attainable through a specific event, one of many randomized events that are not guaranteed to occur in your game. However, if you’re lucky, you’ll get the chance to unlock a special weapon. So, if you’re looking for something not every player will have, finding Liz’s Key is a good step to take.
6 What Is Liz’s Key?
Liz’s key is a key item (pun intended) available in the base game of Remnant: From The Ashes. Key items are either dropped by bosses or gifted by NPCs, in this case, given to the player by one of two Liz sisters. It’s a one-time usage item that unlocks a door to a special, non-craftable weapon.
5 Where Did It Come From?
According to an omnipresent “they”, Liz’s grandparents took a ship and sailed away from the Root. Can you really blame them?
They abandoned all of their possessions, including this key and what it unlocks. Liz got a hold of it and now she just has it, semi-uninterested in whatever it leads to. Which is probably why Liz is cool with giving it to you.
4 What Does It Look Like?
It is probably one of the most unremarkable visual items in the game. You probably have one on your keyring! It looks like a small silver-colored house key with nothing particularly special about it. This picture isn’t of Liz’s key in-game, but if you compare them, they’re almost a match.
It’s not even shiny — it’s literally just a plain key with a triangular keyhole to loop it onto your keyring or lanyard. Not everything can be fantastical, it seems.
3 What Does It Do?
Liz’s Key unlocks the way to collecting the Chicago Typewriter, a conspicuous name for a Long Gun. You can’t craft this weapon, unlike many other powerful weapons in the game, so this key is your only ticket to getting it. It has a maximum ammunition of 320 (which you will need a lot of) and has an ideal range of 15 meters. It can be upgraded to deal intense amounts of damage as well as given mods that will enhance your ability to melt your enemies.
2 How Do You Get Liz’s Key?
Liz’s Key is only available after successfully completing the requirements of the Tale Of Two Liz’s event. If you complete the event while keeping BOTH Liz’s alive, Liz will reward you with this key and, indirectly, the Chicago Typewriter.
If one Liz dies, you fail the event and the key is forever lost to you unless you restart your game. You’ll also get the Warrior Trait from this mission.
1 Where Do I Find The Tale Of Two Liz’s Quest?
The Tale Of Two Liz’s is a random event, meaning that it is not guaranteed to occur in your game. If it does not appear, restarting is your only option. If it does, you can find it in Land’s End on Earth within the Warren area. Its location is also randomized, so you’ll have to search for a bit to find it. Earth has the lowest challenge rating, so a few extra minutes exploring won’t kill you too quickly.
